Role Summary

The Manager, Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis (FPR&A) supports global regions outside North America by delivering strategic financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. This person will collaborate with regional and global leadership to improve resource allocation, support budget planning, and ensure data integrity. The role is critical to integrating financial insights into TNC’s strategic conservation priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting
Support quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and multi-year planning for global regions
Build and maintain financial models to support projections and planning
Summarize budgets and forecasts into actionable insights

Financial Analysis & Reporting
Analyze performance vs. budgets and forecasts
Develop and present financial reports with variance and trend analyses
Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators

Strategic Support & Integration
Align conservation strategies and campaign priorities with financial planning
Collaborate with regional leadership and cross-functional teams to guide investment decisions
Support preparation of presentation materials and enterprise-wide initiatives

Team Collaboration & Process Improvement
Work with business units and accounting to ensure financial accuracy
Lead or support cross-regional finance projects
Promote best practices in planning, analysis, and process efficiency

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
At least 7 years of relevant financial experience
Proficiency with financial systems, Excel, and data modeling
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Experience in GAAP and nonprofit/government accounting principles
Ability to collaborate across regions and levels, including executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or CPA certification
Experience with nonprofit finance and government grant accounting
Experience supporting diverse and international teams
Familiarity with multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French)
Strong Excel and financial system skills (e.g., ERPs)
