Role Overview

The Technical Operations Specialist will strengthen Palisade’s research infrastructure by combining technical skills and operations management. You’ll help build automated systems, manage internal tools, support research logistics, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Operations

• Automate workflows using Python or JavaScript (e.g. Slack, Metabase, Linear)

• Build data pipelines to track metrics like burn rate, team velocity, and OKRs

• Develop internal dashboards and tools to improve team productivity

• Analyze operations data and implement process improvements

Research Operations

• Manage logistics and coordination for external research collaborations and conferences

• Support documentation, knowledge management, and research grant administration

Team Operations

• Handle administrative tasks such as visas, expenses, vendor contracts, and workspace logistics

• Organize team events, retreats, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Requirements

• Strong project management and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools

• Familiarity with automation and workflow optimization

• Understanding of AI safety landscape and terminology

• Comfort working in fast-changing, high-agency environments (e.g. startups)

• Strong written and verbal communication
